Michael E. Hart Jr. is a long standing and respected member of the landscaping community.

With an early passion for landscaping, Michael began working for a prominent Richmond area nursery and landscaping company while attending high school.

Michael increased his landscaping knowledge and skills at North Carolina State University. He graduated with an advanced B.S. degree in Landscape Architecture and Horticulture. Upon graduation, Michael rejoined the company he worked for in high school as a landscape designer and a sales manager.

Attuned to customer needs and satisfaction, Michael quickly saw the necessity for quality hardscape design and installation in the area and established Homescapes, Ltd. in 1995.

Michael has created a specialized niche in the market for architectural landscape masonry with his emphasis on interlocking pavers.

Founded in 1995, Homescapes, Ltd. has become a premier Landscape Masonry Contractor in Richmond, Virginia. We build, maintain and repair architectural landscaping projects in Richmond and surrounding areas. For over 11 years, Homescapes has been one of the leading installers of masonry products in the Central Virginia region.

Our company specializes in interlocking pavers - an architectural landscaping product increasingly in demand. Pavers are easy to maintain and they will increase property value for residential homeowners and commercial landscape. In addition to interlocking pavers we also offer wall systems, and architectural stone products in an array of colors and styles. Our specialized services consist of the design and professional installation of patios, driveways, walkways, sidewalks, pool decks, outdoor kitchens, & retaining walls using Concrete Pavers, Brick Pavers, Cobblestones, Natural Stone products, and Precast Retaining Wall Block.

Homescapes works with a variety of customers in Central Virginia. Our customers include those with small individual projects for private residential homeowners. We also work with home builders, general contractors, real estates developers, government entities, and city & county municipalities. We travel to areas just east of the Shenandoah Valley, Southside Virginia, and the Northern Neck.
